Description
"That Wanaka Tree", also known as the Lone Tree of Wanaka, is a 70-plus years old willow tree that can be found at the shore of Lake Wanaka in South Island, New Zealand. This picture was taken at the crack of dawn, just as the moon was setting into the mountains.
The tree's unique and delicate looking trunk, along with the stunning surrounding landscapes of Wanaka and the Southern Alps, makes it one of the most photogenic trees in the country.
