Tram 28, 2020

Description
This was taken during an evening stroll in the narrow streets of the Alfama district. I whipped out my camera the moment I heard the telltale screeching of the metal wheels against the rails. This was shot against the light, giving the lens flare that you see in the picture - no doubt adding to its aesthetic qualities. Tram 28 is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Lisbon. It is a historic tram that runs through some of the city's most iconic neighborhoods, including Alfama, Baixa, and Estrela. The tram is a great way to see the city and experience its history. The tram was first inaugurated in 1914. It was originally a horse-drawn tram, but it was electrified in 1930. The trams that run today are still the original Remodelado trams from the 1930s. They are beautifully preserved and have a distinctive yellow color. Tram 28 runs on a 7-kilometer route that starts at Martim Moniz Square and ends at Prazeres. The tram passes through some of Lisbon's most popular tourist attractions, including the São Jorge Castle, the Alfama district, and the Baixa district.
